This set was exactly what I was looking for! Even included whole wheat bread! Very happy that it included 4 slices of cheese not all pictured. Every piece is extremely realistic looking, life-size, and made of durable, high quality vinyl/rubber. I'd love to purchase a breakfast set this same quality.

I chose this sandwich making set partially because I wanted to replace old used food in our kitchen area, and partially because I was seeking familiar foods for my young students. The set contains two different types of bread that my students easily identify as "this is the kind we eat at my house." There are also a variety of common fixings (cheese slices, bologna, ham, turkey, peanut butter and jelly) that my students recognize as eaten at their homes. The lettuce and tomato are frequently set aside and identified as "the stuff that I don't like, but that comes on sandwiches!" The food is realistic and seems to be of high quality to last.

My one year old daughter started playing with this at a mommy and me class we were going to. She loved it so much I had to buy it for at home. Many of the items are really flexible so they are perfect for her to chew on and put in her mouth, but big enough that she wont choke on them. My daughter absolutely loves this set! I would definitely recommend!
